Dima Kornilov, a Ukrainian living in Portugal, is a freelance photographer. During the 2013 Euromaidan revolution and the 2022 invasion, he created photo reports for the Portuguese press, documenting important moments in Ukrainian history.
Dima started his photography journey in Ukraine, where he honed his skills and vision. After moving to Portugal in 2014, he continued to grow as an artist, participating in exhibitions. His work has been featured in several solo and group exhibitions.
In 2018, Dima decided to pursue a different kind of photography—one that is more meaningful and insightful, driven by the hope of making a small difference in the world. This led him to focus on projects that address social issues, aiming to raise awareness and inspire change through his work.
Currently, Dima is dedicated to projects that highlight social issues such as inequality, human rights, and the impact of war. His goal is to create photographs that evoke empathy and prompt action. Through his lens, he aims to show the resilience and strength of people facing adversity and bring attention to stories that need to be told.
